D5 Render Farms in 2026: Remote RTX Machines, Licences and Billing
D5 Render • RTX GPU • Licence
D5 Render is a real-time renderer for architecture, interiors and landscape. The D5 pages we read do not mention render farms, and most farm pages we checked do not list D5. This guide shows what is documented, what is not, and what to test before paying.
- Managed farms: Fox Renderfarm, RebusFarm and GarageFarm do not list D5 Render on the pages we read (Nov 7, 2026). The GarageFarm Supported Apps page was not opened.
- Remote machine: iRender lists D5 Render on single-GPU servers: 1x RTX 4090 24 GB from $8.2/hour and a 1x RTX 5090 32 GB option.
- Licence: Community is free but non-commercial. Paid work needs Pro: $30/month billed yearly or $38/month billed monthly, per D5’s pricing page.
- GPU: D5 needs DirectX Raytracing: GTX 1060, Intel Arc 3 or RX 6400 minimum, RTX 3060 (Ti) recommended, RTX 3090 optimal. No VRAM figure is published and there is no Mac version.
- Multi-GPU: iRender states D5 runs on a single GPU, so extra GPUs add no speed. D5’s requirements page says nothing about multi-GPU.

1. How do you choose a D5 Render cloud rendering setup?
Check whether your own GPU is the limit, then the licence, then how a remote machine will sign in to D5.
1.1. Decide whether you need a farm at all
D5 is real-time, so a single image or panorama on an RTX card is often quick. Cloud helps when a machine is tied up for hours, for example long animation export or 16K output. Our guides on why D5 animation export takes hours and video export cost on cloud cover those cases.
1.2. Check the GPU and memory
D5 builds on DirectX 12 ray tracing, so GPUs without DXR, such as the GTX 1050 and GTX 1650, are not supported. The requirements page (last updated Aug 6, 2025) lists GTX 1060, Intel Arc 3 or RX 6400 as minimum, RTX 3060 (Ti) as recommended and RTX 3090 as optimal. It gives no VRAM figure, though its FAQ points to the 12 GB of the RTX 3060 for large scenes. If scenes fail with memory errors, read D5 out of memory on big scenes and why 8 GB GPUs fail on large scenes.
1.3. Check the licence
D5’s pricing page says Community is for non-commercial use and that any commercial, revenue-generating or professional work requires a Pro licence. Frame sequence rendering is listed under Pro. Read the free-versus-Pro question for cloud work in D5 free vs Pro on cloud.
D5 Render licence options
As stated on D5’s pricing page. The page does not mention device limits, activation limits or remote machines.
| Option | Who it is for | Price as stated |
|---|---|---|
| CommunityD5 | Learning, personal projects and evaluation. No commercial use. | Free |
| ProD5 | Commercial work. Adds frame sequence rendering, AI features, VR and technical support. | $30/month billed yearly ($360/year) or $38/month billed monthly |
| TeamsD5 | Teams of two or more. Adds simultaneous editing and a 100 GB cloud workspace. | $59 per seat/month billed yearly or $75 per seat/month billed monthly |
| EducationD5 | Students and educators, by application. | Free |
A remote machine needs your D5 account. In April 2022 a D5 staff member said that using Pro assets on a third-party machine requires logging in with your own D5 account, and that D5 had no official render farm partnerships. A user in the same thread raised the risk of typing credentials on a rented machine. That thread is old and we found no newer statement, so ask the provider how sessions are isolated and wiped, and use a strong, unique password. The “cloud” on D5’s pricing page is project storage (10 GB on Pro, 100 GB on Teams), not rendering.
2. Which providers support D5 Render, and how do we know?
The table copies what each page says. A blank is a gap in what we read, not proof that the software is unsupported.
D5 Render support by provider
Official pages and homepages. Ask each provider in writing before you upload.
| Provider | D5 Render as stated | Page read | |
|---|---|---|---|
| iRenderRemote machine | Listed: single-GPU servers with 1x RTX 4090 24 GB and 1x RTX 5090 32 GB | D5 service page, modified Oct 17, 2026 | |
| Fox RenderfarmManaged farm | Not in the homepage software list | Homepage | |
| RebusFarmManaged farm | Not in the supported 3D software list | Supported software page | |
| GarageFarmManaged farm | Not in the homepage list; Supported Apps page not opened | Homepage | |
| Super Renders FarmManaged farm | Not mentioned in the article we read; supported list not rechecked for this guide | 3D rendering service article |
3. How do billing and free credit compare for D5 Render?
Only iRender documents D5-ready hardware, so only its price applies directly. Trial credit at other farms cannot be assumed to cover D5. D5 itself shows no render farm partners: the 2022 staff reply said none existed and we found no newer list.
Billing and free credit by provider
As stated on each provider’s page. Conditions can change; confirm before paying.
| Provider | D5-ready hardware and price | Free credit or bonus |
|---|---|---|
| iRenderRemote machine | 1x RTX 4090 24 GB from $8.2/hour. A Fixed Rental option is said to save 10% on multi-hour use; daily, weekly and monthly plans exist but their prices are not shown on the page. | A “100% bonus” appears in the page description with no terms on the page |
| Fox RenderfarmManaged farm | No D5 machine documented | $25 free trial; up to 40% bonus on the first recharge |
| GarageFarmManaged farm | No D5 machine documented | $25 starter credit, no card; trial limited to 10 nodes and 30 jobs |
| RebusFarmManaged farm | No D5 machine documented | Not checked |
4. Remote GPU machine or your own workstation?
D5 renders on the machine where it is installed, so a remote GPU machine behaves like a second workstation: you install D5, sign in, copy the scene and render. Managed farms that queue jobs do not list D5, so a queue-based workflow is not documented. Compare cost per finished frame, not per hour: render a short test at the same resolution and count upload, setup and idle time. We have no D5 benchmark from these providers, so we do not rank them by speed or price.
If your own RTX GPU is enough, scene optimisation is usually the cheaper fix, and the choice of tool matters too. See the Lumion, Twinmotion and Enscape guides, and D5 vs Enscape on cloud. If your model comes from SketchUp, Rhino or Revit, see the SketchUp, Rhino and Revit guides.
5. How do you prepare a D5 Render project for a remote machine?
- Check the version: Match the D5 version on the remote machine to your project. 3.1.1 is the latest in the release notes we read (July 30, 2026).
- Confirm the GPU: Use an RTX card with a current driver. D5 needs DirectX Raytracing.
- Check the licence: Pro is required for paid work, and frame sequence rendering is a Pro feature.
- Secure the sign-in: Sign in with your own D5 account only on a machine the provider wipes after use, and change the password if you are unsure.
- Copy your assets: Pro assets need your login. Custom HDRI, LUT, IES files and your local asset library must be copied to the machine too.
- Test one export: Export one short clip or image at final settings before booking hours, and note upload time, setup time and cost.
6. FAQ: D5 Render farms
What is the best render farm for D5 Render?
There is no single answer. Among the providers we read, only iRender documents D5 servers, and the other farm pages we checked do not list it. Render one short test export and compare total cost, including setup time.
Can I render D5 on a managed farm that queues jobs?
Not on the ones we checked. Fox Renderfarm, RebusFarm and GarageFarm do not list D5 on the pages we read. Ask the provider in writing before you upload a project.
How much GPU does D5 Render need?
D5 needs a DirectX Raytracing GPU. The requirements page lists GTX 1060, Intel Arc 3 or RX 6400 as minimum, RTX 3060 (Ti) as recommended and RTX 3090 as optimal, and gives no VRAM figure.
Is D5 Render free for commercial work?
No. Community is for non-commercial use. Commercial, revenue-generating or professional work requires Pro, listed at $30/month billed yearly or $38/month billed monthly.
Does multi-GPU speed up D5 Render?
iRender states that D5 runs strictly on a single GPU, so extra GPUs give no scaling. D5’s requirements page does not address multi-GPU, so treat this as a provider claim.
