Revit Render Farms in 2026: V-Ray, Enscape, Licences and Cloud Routes

Executive SummaryFor Revit, the render engine and the route matter more than the farm name

Revit • V-Ray • Enscape

Revit is a BIM modelling tool, so cloud rendering usually means one of two routes: export the scene to an engine a farm supports, or rent a GPU machine and run Revit with your own engine plugin. Most managed farms we checked do not list Revit natively, so the route you choose decides your shortlist.

  • Engine first: Autodesk Raytracer is built into Revit 2026. V-Ray, Enscape and Twinmotion are the common add-ons.
  • Managed farms: Revit is rarely listed. GarageFarm covers V-Ray through a .vrscene export. RebusFarm lists Revit with no dedicated page.
  • Remote machines: iRender lists Revit as a host for Enscape and runs on RTX 4090 or RTX 5090 workstations.
  • Licences: On a remote machine you bring your own Revit and engine licences. Managed farms need a check first.
  • Free credit: Fox Renderfarm and GarageFarm offer $25. iRender offers a 100% first-deposit bonus.

Last updated: November 7, 2026. Details come from each provider’s own pages and from Autodesk and Chaos. We did not test these farms for this guide.

1. How do you choose a render farm for Revit?

Start with how you want to render, then check what each provider accepts. Revit does not render on a farm the way a Blender or Cinema 4D file does, so the question is which engine and which route you will use.

1.1. Pick the render engine

Revit 2026 uses Autodesk Raytracer, and Autodesk’s help page says mental ray settings are mapped to Raytracer when you upgrade. Many architectural teams add V-Ray for Revit. Chaos lists V-Ray 7 update 2 for Revit and says V-Ray is designed to work with Enscape. Others render in real time with Enscape or Twinmotion. Each engine points to a different cloud route, so decide this before you compare prices.

1.2. Pick the route: export or remote machine

With an export route you send a scene file that a farm can render without Revit, for example a V-Ray .vrscene file. GarageFarm’s supported-apps page lists V-Ray standalone 3.4 to 6+ on Windows and names Revit among the hosts for that route. With a remote route you rent a Windows workstation, install Revit and your engine, and render there. Real-time tools such as Enscape need this second route because they run inside the host app. Our Revit and V-Ray article and Revit and Enscape article walk through each case.

1.3. Check licences and GPU memory

On a remote machine, you need your own Autodesk licence, and your engine licence must work on a rented machine. iRender’s Enscape page says you activate your own Enscape licence and does not mention Autodesk, so confirm that part yourself. For large BIM models, GPU memory matters: iRender lists 24 GB on the RTX 4090 and 32 GB on the RTX 5090. Our articles on Enscape freezing on large BIM models and Twinmotion crashes with large Revit models show what goes wrong when memory runs out.

2. Which providers support Revit, and how?

The table copies what each page says. A blank is a gap in the page, not proof that a feature is missing. We could not open the Revit pages on Fox Renderfarm, RebusFarm or Super Renders Farm on November 7, 2026, so those rows rely on their homepage, software list or version matrix.

Revit support and render route by provider

Taken from each provider’s own pages, read November 7, 2026.

Provider Revit as stated Render route as stated Hardware as stated
Fox Renderfarmmanaged farm Revit not listed on its homepage V-Ray listed generally; no Revit page read Not stated
RebusFarmmanaged farm Revit listed in its software list, no dedicated page Not verified Not verified
GarageFarmmanaged farm Revit not in its main app list V-Ray standalone (.vrscene) 3.4 to 6+, Windows; Revit named under that route Not stated
Super Renders Farmmanaged farm No Revit row in its version matrix V-Ray listed for other hosts only; contact the farm Not stated
iRenderremote GPU machine Revit listed as a supported host Enscape in Revit on a remote workstation; you install your own host app 1x RTX 4090 24 GB or 1x RTX 5090 32 GB, Threadripper PRO, 256 GB RAM
Key takeaway:Only the remote-machine route lists Revit with a clear way to use it. For managed farms, ask whether they accept a .vrscene export or a Revit-based job, and which engine version they run.

3. How do licences, billing and free credit compare?

Billing units differ, so the table shows what each page states and does not convert it to one price.

Licensing, billing and free credit by provider

As stated on each provider’s pages, read November 7, 2026.

Provider Licences Billing as stated Free credit as stated
Fox Renderfarmmanaged farm Not stated for Revit Not read for Revit $25 free trial
RebusFarmmanaged farm Not verified Not verified Not verified
GarageFarmmanaged farm Not stated for Revit Not read $25 starter credit; trial accounts limited to 10 nodes and 30 jobs until the first purchase
Super Renders Farmmanaged farm Contact the farm Not read for Revit Not stated
iRenderremote GPU machine You install your own host app and activate your own Enscape licence; Autodesk licensing not mentioned Per minute; $8.20 per hour for 1x RTX 4090, $10.80 for 1x RTX 5090, 10% less for 3-hour booking 100% bonus on first deposit
Key takeaway:The units are different, so only a test on your own scene shows real cost. Render one view on two providers before you queue a full set.

4. Managed farm or remote GPU machine for Revit?

4.1. Managed farms

Managed farms suit engines they install and test, such as V-Ray standalone. You export from Revit, upload and let the farm spread frames or tiles. The limit is coverage: the pages we read do not describe a ready Revit workflow, so you depend on an export that matches the farm’s engine version.

4.2. Remote GPU machine

With iRender you connect to a Windows workstation by remote desktop with full administrator access, so you can install Revit and the plugins you already use. This also covers real-time tools. The cost is that you manage the session yourself and bring your own licences. iRender’s pricing page lists a Tier III data centre, ISO 27001, 20000 and 9001 certifications and NDA documents. Those are provider statements.

4.3. Engine vendor cloud services

Chaos says Chaos Cloud offers cloud rendering, and that cloud rendering is included in the V-Ray Collection plan, priced at $100.90 per month billed annually on its Revit page. The V-Ray Solo and Premium plans are $45.00 and $64.90 per month billed annually, with a 30-day free trial. Check whether Chaos Cloud accepts your scene type before you rely on it.

5. How do you prepare a Revit project for cloud rendering?

  • Choose the engine: confirm that the provider supports the engine and version you use.
  • Lighten the model: purge unused families and link only the views you need to render.
  • Check textures: keep material paths relative so assets travel with the file. See our cloud pipeline for Enscape and Revit.
  • Check licences: confirm that your Revit and engine licences allow use on a rented machine.
  • Test one view: render a single view and compare time, memory and cost before you queue the set.

6. FAQ: Revit render farm questions

What is the best render farm for Revit?

It depends on how you render. Revit itself is a BIM tool, and most farms accept the output of an engine such as V-Ray, not the Revit file. Farms that list Revit natively are rare, so many users rent a GPU machine and run Revit with Enscape or Twinmotion. Our Revit render farm article goes deeper on the arch-viz side.

Can I render a Revit file directly on a managed render farm?

Not on most of the ones we checked. Fox Renderfarm’s homepage and GarageFarm’s app list do not mention Revit, and Super Renders Farm’s version matrix has no Revit row. RebusFarm lists Revit in its software list without a dedicated page. GarageFarm’s supported-apps page does list a V-Ray .vrscene route that covers Revit. Ask each farm before you upload.

Does Enscape work on a render farm?

Enscape is a real-time viewer that runs inside the host app, so it needs a machine you can log in to. iRender lists Revit as a supported host for Enscape on its remote workstations, and you activate your own Enscape licence. For more detail, see our Enscape render farm guide and the Enscape and Revit article.

Can I use V-Ray for Revit in the cloud?

Yes, through two routes. You can rent a machine and run V-Ray for Revit there, or export a .vrscene file and render it with V-Ray standalone on a farm that supports it, such as the GarageFarm route listed on its supported-apps page. Chaos also offers Chaos Cloud, which it says is included in the V-Ray Collection plan. See our V-Ray render farm guide and the Revit and V-Ray article.

Do I need my own Revit licence in the cloud?

On a remote machine you install your own host app, so you need your own Autodesk licence. iRender’s Enscape page says you activate your own Enscape licence and does not mention Autodesk licensing, so confirm that point yourself before you start a paid job.
